During a WB ute restoration the idea came up to install a Bang shift rachet gear shifter into the original centre consol. Like anything it's not as easy as you first think.
The Nitro shifter includes a reverse lockout feature that only requires one hand to operate, however this poses a problem when retro fitting into the fdactory HZ-WB centre consol as the orginal plate does not accommodate for this lock out lever.
UNICQ have designed a plate that does allow for the reverse lock out lever to have access through the consol plate. To install you need to remove the original by melting the lugs off from the rear and then once off simply stick the new plate down in the same position. The clear gear selector plate can still be seen and you can then chnage the letters according to the location. You can use custom letters for these readily available off ebay or use the Ninja Builds LED kit sold through them online.
